![]() ![]() Nightly builds for RetroArch which features the most recent core configurations for the RetroArch emulator. If you're using the stable build instead, some of the configurations in the screenshots might differ, especially the configuration screen. For this tutorial I'm going to download the nightly build. The later support audio and video filters as well as more path configurations and possibly more ROMs compatibility especially for the MESS or MAME cores. I'll leave it to you whether to download the Stable build (v1.0) or the nightly builds (v1.1.x). For the uninitiated, RetroArch serves as the front-end for Libretro, which provides the cores for the emulators including BSNES, Ganbatte, and even MAME and MESS.įirst, download RetroArch builds here. Its main reason is its ability to support multiple mainstream emulators and provide a unified configuration across all its offered emulators (or cores). I am not great with module coding but I am trying to wade my way through it.This is a full tutorial showing how to integrate RetroArch with HyperSpin and RocketLauncher.įoreword RetroArch has become the choice of emulators for many players now and is increasingly popular since its launch few years ago. Retroarch -L "\cores\bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll" "I:\Arcade\Games\Super Nintendo Entertainment System\ROMS\Aerobiz (USA).zip"-f -c "\retroarch.cfg" -s "\Aero Fighters (USA).srm" -S "\Aero Fighters (USA).state" The string that I built however resulted in the following I even added the additional aruguments that RL seems to be using: -f for fullscreen, -c for the config file, -s for save file, and -S for savestate. I checked this in an elevated command prompt from the retroarch folder and games would launch with this structure. Retroarch -L /path/to/libretro/core.so game.rom ![]() I checked the retroarch command line structure on liberto and it seems that the correct way to pass this is as follows: If this is the command line, I think we can change the module pretty easily to work with the newer versions of RetroArch. Like I said, this looks like command line but if it isn't then forget the rest. I edited out my long path names as they are really long and serve no purpose. Process.Run - Running: \retroarch.exe "\Aero Fighters (USA).sfc" -f -c "\retroarch.cfg" -L "\bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll" -s "\Aero Fighters (USA).srm" -S "\Aero Fighters (USA).state" In my log I noticed that there was an entry that seemed like command line arguments being passed. When I try to run the module it always times out and gives me the "check your using the right emulator and no fade and blah blah blah". That being said, I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on how the string that is passed to retroarch is built. I understand that I am trying to use the most up to date emulator with a module that was not designed for it.
